Celtic have again proved their European pedigree by their dogged peformance against Manchester United midweek.
Despite the horrendous away record in the Champions league, at Parkhead they hold firm and are difficult to beat

Celtic defender Mark Wilson admitted the home dressing room laughed off the Manchester onslaught of the second half and said the he hadn't defended as much in his life

"We made it hard for them to score and we also kept our good home record going"

Despite the bitter dissapointment of failing to win all three points,Celtic can still progress to the last 16 in the competition for the third time in a row.

For that to happen hoops fans up and down the country need to recite the memorare, well not really but it may help
If Man Utd were to beat Villarreal which is a good bet and Celtic overcome their dismal away record by beating Aalborg on the same night Celtic could go through if they were to beat Villarreal at Parkhead in the last group E match by two clear goals.....it's not an imposible task.

Celtic by holding out to Manchester United's mega millionaire stars can prove decisive for the rest of the season as it will instill a belief that they are indeed capable of taking on Europe's elite

A win in their last two games should almost assure them third place and set them up for a good run in the UEFA cup Despite some big guns from England and Italy (AC Milan) in the competition Celtic will fancy their chances
