Chris Killen features in Football Maestros documentary
Celtic's Chris Killen , will feature in a Football Maestros documentary produced by an award-winning New Zealand sports film-maker.
The six-part series, which will have its first showing on Sky Sport today, will showcase the efforts of Chris Killen and his All Whites team-mates, Ryan Nelsen, the Blackburn Rovers skipper, and Simon Elliott (Fulham).
Producer-director Gordon Irving spent three weeks with the players in the United Kingdom late last year.
"This was a real labour of love for me," said Irving.
"I was keen to give these guys some profile. What they do is simply fantastic and a great inspiration for every young New Zealand footballer about to embark on another season, and proves that dreams do come true.
"New Zealand continually punches above its weight in an assortment of sports but I just don't believe these guys are given the credit they deserve. They are not out there winning world championships or Olympic medals, but in some ways what they do is just as commendable.
"They toil away day after day in such a cut-throat environment, and don't just survive, but, especially in Ryan's case, make their mark and have the locals sitting up and taking notice."
Irving was also able to get interviews with Gordon Strachan who signed Killen for Celtic
