It may be just coincidence that Celtic turned the tables on Rangers with Neil Lennon's arrival to the coaching team at Celtic Park but Neil after gaining his UEFA coaching licence, is well aware that this season will test his coaching abilities to the full.

"But it's not until you complete your first pre-season in your new role that you completely settle in.

So from that point of view, I've really enjoyed being around during pre-season and being a part of things from the start. It was wonderful last season to come back and a great feeling to win the title on the final day of the season. That night up in Tannadice was fantastic.

"But, like every season, it's now a fresh start and we've got to go out and try and do it all over again. During my playing days at Celtic I always put what had happened the previous season to the back of my mind.

"It doesn't matter if you win the Treble, the demands and expectation at this club means you have to go out and try and do the same again the following season.

"So this season we've got to aim to try and win all the domestic competitions and hopefully enjoy a good European campaign as well."

Lenny went from "Man to Bhoy" in his debut book lets hope he has as much success going from "Bhoy to Coach" and who knows manager

Neill recognises the responsibilities he has accrued with his new position and how he must act with the players

"When I first arrived it wasn't a strange feeling not being a player," he conceded. "There was that much going on, with games coming thick and fast, that it was just a case of getting one game out of the way and moving on to the next.

"However, I'll be honest and say I have noticed the difference since we reported back for pre-season and been away in Portugal last week. I spend all my time now with the rest of the coaching staff rather than the players.

"That's the way it has to be. The players know I can't socialise with them the way I used to when I was a player here and I'm sure they respect that has got to be the case.

"I still get on really well with all of the lads and I'd like to think if any of them had a problem or wanted a bit of advice, then they would trust me enough to approach me and explain the situation and see what I thought.

"But I'm on the other side now if you want to look at it like that. I've hung up the boots and I'm now coaching. And there are different responsibilities that come along with that."

Re Artur Boruc
'I felt he was the best keeper at the Euros and he is the best I've ever played with. Anyone wanting to sign him is going to have to pay really top dollar because Celtic have him on a long contract, too, '

Re Aiden McGeady
'Aiden was fantastic for us last year and, when I came back to the club, I saw a huge difference in him,'

'I was away for 10 months and the difference in him was incredible. Physically he has come on.

'Aiden is one of those players who can run at real pace with the ball still glued to their feet. That is a skill in itself. And he's got incredible feet in terms of close control.

'But he's still got a lot to learn about awareness and giving the ball to a team-mate now and again. He's a terrific talent, though, and he's only going to get better. But he has just signed a signed a five-year contract and we've got him.'

Re Life in Glasgow
'I am enjoying life in Glasgow and this is my home now,' said Lennon. 'I love the place and I love the banter. There is that great rivalry between both sets of Old Firm supporters.

'But it is less intense for me now because, as a coach, I am kind of under the radar a wee bit! That has been a good move for me because it is the next best thing to playing. I work with the Celtic players every day and enjoy that aspect.
