Marc Crosas

On the 4th August 2008 Celtic made a bid for Crosas said to be around £2m. On August 5th, the FC Barcelona website said a deal was almost reached[5], which would see Celtic paying €500,000, with up to a further €900,000 depending on appearances.
Crosas has agreed in principle to sign for Celtic. The fee is thought to be around £425,000. Should the transfer be completed, Celtic will also be liable to pay a further £750,000 depending on the players success at the club (Champions League progress, player appearances etc.)
However, Barcelona are conscious of the fact the Spanish starlet could develop into a very valuable player and have insisted on a £1.65m buy-back option which takes effect at the end of season 2009-10.
On the 8th August Crosas agent confirmed on Sky Sports News that the player had signed a four year deal with Celtic, he will fly into Glasgow on the 9th August for a medical after which Celtic are expected to confirm the signing of the player. On the 10th August, Crosas was paraded at Celtic Park before the match against St Mirren. He will wear the number 17 jersey.
