New Bhoy Robson pleased with celtic debut
January transfer recruit Barry Robson was pleased with a goalscoring debut for Celtic on Sunday afternoon and admits his target now is a regular start on the team.
Former Dundee United captain Robson, who sealed a £1.25million before the end of last month’s transfer deadline, came off the bench marking his debut by scoring direct from a free kick with his first touch of the ball in a 5-1 win over Aberdeen on Sunday and insists there's more to come.
He later said: “I want to play but at a big club like Celtic there are so many players and everybody needs to rotate a bit at certain times.
"As long as I play in the majority of games and I’m playing well, that’s my main aim. It’s a great club to be at, a massive football club, and I want to play at the highest level. I want to play in the Champions League and win titles and cups. That’s why I came here.”
As for Robson's dramatic entrance onto the arena, Strachan had instructed him to take the free-kicks with Naka off the pitch.
Said Ghord " he showed what he can do. I enjoyed watching that."
